I have almost all the bits cut out for another of my dragon toys. Not shown are the axles, the cams and the eyes. It started from a design I found in a woodworking magazine a few years ago. I fiddled and tweaked the design, making minor changes here, major changes there, till I ended up with this one.

 

When finished, the mouth opens and closes, all 4 legs "walk", the wings swing up and down, and the tail bobs up and down.

 

This one is being made from black walnut, maple and cherry.

After about 10+ hours of work I got all the pieces ready for finish, just waiting for the weather to warm up a bit. All the actions have been verified, and the pre-assembly in the body and head area.

Those look very nice; the end product is quite neat for the simplicity of some of the cuts. Very cool project, looking forward to seeing your dragon army finished!
