The knob on mine does have a white line on it. Now that I know what to watch out for I'll try to remember to keep an eye on it.

My saw is on a stand with wheels. By moving it I meant rolling it around. I figure I was occasionally grabbing the knob when I moved it.

Need help folks. I have an Anniversary Edition Excelsior 21" saw where the jaws have moved apart. the distance from the upper to lower jaw in the clamped position is around 5.38". I had noticed the last few times I'd used it that either the blades were shorter or something was out of adjustment but wasn't real concerned. Then this morning I went to change the blade and realized that one of the arms had moved, increasing the distance between the heads by around an inch!! I've had the saw from new, but of course I have absolutely no idea where the manual has gotten to. Sorry for the blurry photo, but the bottom of the blade is in the upper right hand corner of the photo, showing the gap I now have. I'm hoping for two things: 1) That the way more knowledgeable folks than me on this forum can tell me what I need to do to fix it and, 2) that it is nothing more than a simple adjustment. Thanks for the kind words everyone. This on is intriguing in that it transforms from points to waves as you move from the center out. It took a couple of tries to get the amount of twist figured out so it's smooth.

Steve Good came out with this variation to his wobble bowl a little while back. This on is from 3/8" thick cherry, clear gloss lacquer finish.

Not this one. To me CNC would take all the fun of tweaking it into working out of it! I believe it said the AK-47 has over 150 parts!!

Saw this project over on Lumberjocks and had to give it a try. The plans are here, and there are 9 of them, even two that are fully automatic!! The derringer is next on my list to try. This one is 1/4" Baltic birch ply, and except for drying time can be knocked out in less than an hour.

The Dragon is ALIVE and walking!! And as usually happens on projects like this, it worked great for the video, but now I get to spend a fair bit of time tweaking the gear train to get it to walk smoothly and consistently. I need to get some thin CyA glue to strengthen the threads in the gears so they they don't strip around the set screws. Thanks for looking folks. VID_20170610_105457224.mp4

Unfortunately Len I didn't get many pictures of the interior before I closed it up. I had thought of making the trailer white, but don't really like to use solid paints on wood except for small parts or details. And I kinda like the slightly sinister aspect of the black trailer. This was never intended to be a scale model, but more of a sorta looks like, easily recognizable. And who knows, at some point if it doesn't sell, I might agree with you and make the reefer white! Thank You for the kind words folks.

The Kenworth Project is finally finished. Tractor, Flat bed and Reefer. The fifth wheel actually locks, the tandems on the reefer are adjustable and the rear doors function. The interior of the cab is detailed as well. It was a fun project, but kinda glad it's finished, I kept thinking of details to add so it was time to call it. Thanks for looking.
