wombatie Posted January 11, 2017 Report Posted January 11, 2017 My granddaughter Holly is 11yo and this season decided to play cricket. After a few short weeks she was asked to try out for the next league up and she got in. They have been playing quite a bit over the last 2 or 3 weeks and have found themselves in the grand final. Win or lose I am so proud of her and she's a great little cricketer too. Marg Phantom Scroller, Lucky2, Gordster and 4 others 7 Quote
kywoodmaster Posted January 11, 2017 Report Posted January 11, 2017 Congrats on the playoffs. Always try to encourage the kids to participate in what ever the want. I have a grand daughter that was the only girl on the American Football team last year. She left several boys on the ground crying. wombatie 1 Quote

wombatie Posted January 12, 2017 Author Report Posted January 12, 2017 Her coach plays for Victoria in the women's side and a couple of games a go the opposition coach was really yelling at her girls and told them to go out there and win, Holly's coach as loud as she could said to our girls "Go out there and have fun". Unfortunately they lost that game but they had fun trying. Marg Rob Roy and Fab4 2 Quote
