Tabitha1986 Posted January 22, 2017 Report Posted January 22, 2017 Hey i was just wondering if any one had any tips on how to cut thin patterns... im having a hard time... my wood keeps cracking on me?? Quote
worbler Posted January 22, 2017 Report Posted January 22, 2017 That would probably depend on a number of thins. What type of wood are you cutting? What size blade are you using? For thin wood you are going to want to go with a light blade, maybe a number 3 or less. The bigger the teeth the more likely it is you are going to break something. Are you able to slow your saw down? Having a variable speed saw is pretty important when you want to cut thin material. If you can try slowing it down and test a piece of scrap. Quote
Fab4 Posted January 22, 2017 Report Posted January 22, 2017 Hi Tabitha: If your wood is that thin try stack cutting Or as Tim mentioned above look at your blades Good Luck Fab4 Scrolling Steve 1 Quote

heppnerguy Posted January 23, 2017 Report Posted January 23, 2017 What seems small to a beginning scroller might really be considered not that small to an experienced scroller. Can you possibly post a picture of the cuttings you are doing and the. Thickness and type of wood you are using along with the size of the spiral blade you are talking about? That information will really help you get the correct answer you will need to solve your problem Dick heppnerguy Quote
