  6. Your work and videos will help many other scrollers, especially the new ones. Keep up the good work Dick heppnerguy
  7. A nice challenging job and people can't hardly believe you would and can do projects like this. That is the reaction I get when people see my Eiffel Tower and ornate clocks. You will get the same reactions every time a person sees that in you home, I am sure. Dick heppnerguy
  8. Paul is tuned to The Village and his son reads all your wishes and concerns to him daily. Paul is a little concerned about his inability to converse in person but I can tell you he is doing a lot of effort to get better as fast as he can. He is still working hard to get his left hand fingers to open up and function again. Paul loves all you comments and support so do not give up on him. Dick heppnerguy
  9. I too am working on coloring my projects too. I like how much better they stand out when posted on the wall. I do not expect to ever become a true artist but I am going to continue to paint and try to learn. If that is your desire, take the remarks that are all intended to help and continue to paint and learn to make it realistic as you can. Look at your results and see what you might do a little differently next time. That is how you achieve your desires. It is just like scrolling, when you start out, it is quite difficult and your mistakes can be way off what you were hoping for but with time it becomes easier and more satisfying. Dick heppnerguy
  10. very cute. I was thinking that the magnet/flooding effect could be used numerous ways. You just opened the door to that idea. I expect to see many other idea from here.. Dick heppnerguy
  11. I was very surprised when I saw the news of her death yesterday. She was very loved for her work and loving personality. She will not be forgotten soon. Dick heppnerguy
  12. that is exactly why I love seeing your posts Dick heppnerguy
  13. You have such a great imagination and wonderful projects that you create. I always wonder how you can keep at it with all the horrible things that the Russian government is doing your people and country. So unnecessary and destructive. You just keep plugging away.. What courage and great pattern you have Dick heppnerguy
  14. Wow, you did put a lot of extra carving into this project. I love how you just can't seem to just cut things out the easy way but always find some added challenges to your work that make them extra special. Another unique and interesting piece, as always Dick heppnerguy
  15. I love Russ pattern too. I will hope to give this a short when I can get some shop time to do so. I hope mine comes out as nicely as your did. I am going to add some color to mine, as i am trying to learn to do that as I find they stand out better on the wall when I do. Thank for sharing your work with all of us. Dick heppnerguy
  16. I too love how Norman Rockwell's art on the Post covers always told a story by themselves without having to write anything to explain what he was saying in them. A great Idea for your puzzles. I too am so sorry for you health problems keeping from you shop. I live in Southern Arizona and the daily temperatures are running above 108 degrees and up almost every day and my shop is in a double garage dedicated completely as my shop so now that the low temperature for the night only gets down to about 90 degrees, I too do not spend much time in mine either. Dick heppnerguy
  17. I talked briefly with Paul today. He is very tired and has trouble speaking on the phone but I was lucky enough to have him call me. He still can't open his left fingers and his lip control on one side of his mouth does not work very well yet. I was able to understand everything he said though. I told him about the response he is getting from The village and he was very honored to hear that information. He sure can use any and all prayers anyone wishes to ask in his regards. He is a wonderful person and friend and I will try to keep in touch with him as best as I can. I also will make effort to keep all you Village members informed of his progress. Thanks to all for your wonderful and caring response. Dick heppnerguy
  18. I just got a phone call from Scrappile's (Paul Douglass) wife informing me that Paul suffered another stroke and was in the hospital. This was his third stroke and his left hand is still closed but his can once again move his am and can walk while assisted in the hospital. I sure hope he recovers completely and I am asking for prayers for him. He is a wonderful stroller and as you all probably know, he has recently started to do some intarsia. I personally met Paul for lunch probably about 14 years ago and we have become really good friends. I just wanted everyone in The Village to know why it will probably be some time before we are privileged to see his wood working, if at all again. Dick heppnerguy
  19. Very nicely completed project. Way to go Dick heppnerguy
  20. Very well done. Letters, numbers and straight lines have had the most difficult items to cut on a scroll saw and you nailed them all Dick heppnerguy
  21. Love see you continuing your artistry and videos that help so many others. Fun project. Dick Jones heppnerguy
  22. I figured you would be knocking this one out before too long as, if it is a challenge, you have to give it a shot. Perfectly done as always Dick heppnerguy
  23. Keep at it, in a little time and repetition you will soon be knocking these out faster and perfect every time. Dick heppnerguy
  24. A very nice project. I love it when i see more Eagle patterns made and cut. You have turned into one work of art, in yourself as you create and make so many nice pieces. Dick heppnerguy
  25. I saw this yesterday and was not able to comment on it. So......Another well thought out and produced project that continues to amaze me every time I see one of your projects. Dick heppnerguy
