  1. Thank you once more for your nice pat on my back. I am not certain how much longer I will continue to try and cut things as I am getting pretty elderly and I noticed I am unable to stay in my shop nearly as long as I used to. Dick heppnerguy
  2. Thank you so much for the nice compliment. A couple of members found the pattern maker and I am going to attempt to contact her and see if she wants money to share her pattern. I sure enjoy the barrel racers at the fairs and I am absolutely blown away that my great grander was barrel racing before she was 5 years old and she did a fabulous job at it too. She went hard and fast. Dick heppnerguy
  3. Thank you very much. I will try to get ahold of her and see if she needs money for the pattern. Dick heppnerguy
  4. Thank you so much. I would have preferred to change the barrel as it was really a task to try and make it with the Coors Light on it and It is the one part that I did not enjoy at all or even a little happy with. Thank you for the pattern maker's name I will try to get find her and see if she wants something for the pattern. Dick heppnerguy
  5. My granddaughter sent me a text asking me to cut her a barrel racer. Her 5 year ole daughter has 2 of her own horses and have been barrel racing on her own for several months already, She just had her 5th birthday a couple of month ago. So here is the one I cut for her and I will have it ready to send to her by Monday. I hope she likes it as it is a really interesting pattern and I have no idea who the pattern maker is. Dick heppnerguy
  6. I can see easily that one would not be able to knock this one out before dinner. I have done some long difficult projects several times. It would turn from a fun project to one I would think will never get finished but they always turned out to be the most satisfying pieces when I did finally get to the end of it. Good for you, finishing a real nice project Dick heppnerguy
  7. Yes I understood that. I just was trying to say how thoughtful that was of you to make a pattern for him without his even requesting one. Dick heppnerguy
  8. I have never even seen any project created from PVC pipe until now. What an interesting idea. I am going to try and find some on the internet just to see how it is done. Dick heppnerguy
  9. Paul like you, I too enjoy the spiral blades. I really got to where I wanted to learn them when I was at your house and saw all your wonderful projects made with the spiral blade. I now like them the very best and it really did not take me that long to learn. It was very apparent to me that really delicate fret work is crying for the spiral and it saves a lot, and I mean a lot, of worry about possibly braking some delicate pieces when one is cutting. They are so much quicker and way easier on the extremely delicate fret. Thank you for that, my friend. You taught me well just by letting me look through some of your very well done fret work. Dick
  10. I find it really fun when people can almost feel the theme of a project like I do when I take one on and others make remarks, like you just did Dick heppnerguy
  11. Thanks Denny, It was interesting to make and I was so happy that I thought about putting it onto a large framed backer board as he will be shipping it to Florida and the feathers and a couple of other items would not make a long distant travel very well otherwise. Dick heppnerguy
  12. thanks. It was a wee pit changing in spots but overall fairly easy. Speaking of Arizona, do you happen to go to Arizona as, what we call, snow birds? My neighbor and one of my best friends now, lives on Victory Island and has been coming to Southern Arizona for over 15 years. We play chess almost every day when he is here. Dick heppnerguy
  13. thank you so much it had it's moments at time but overall it went fairly quickly. Dick heppnerguy
  14. Thank you for the nice comment. It was an interesting challenge at times because of the really small and not very well supported parts. By placing it in a framed backer board, I was able to take care of that problem and felt a lot better when I finished Dick heppnerguy
  15. I wasn't too excited when my neighbor picked this one as I saw so many not so well supported parts so I decided to put the entire project in a frame and I no longer had to worry about it. Dick heppnerguy
  16. Wow that is a very nice comment, especially coming from you who does such wonderful projects. Thank you very much Dick heppnerguy
  17. thank you. It was an interesting one to cut for me. There were a few questions going through my mind, at times as I cut and shaped it, but it all seemed to work out in the end Dick heppnerguy
  18. You may or may not have seen the dog I posted a couple of days ago for my neighbor, well, he also ordered this native American subject. I also finished it and because of the delicacy in so many parts of it and knowing he is going to mail this, I decided to add the large backer board and frame to give it my stability. So this is the final results that I ended up making.
  19. I clearly understood what you did for him. That was so nice or you to do that/\ Dick heppnerguy
  20. I would cut it only for myself too. You do such a great job with your patterns and you continue to excite me with each one. Dick heppnerguy
  21. I have seen several of these cut so they are very popular. I really like yours a lot, myself. Dick heppnerguy
  22. Well thank you. I came out alright but it just was not the pattern I would have chosen for him. Glad He picked it as he was very happy with the end results so that pleases me as well Dick heppnerguy
  23. thank you a lot for the nice comment. I was a pretty easy pattern to cut Dick heppnerguy
  24. Thank you Denny. He was vary pleased with it. Might be getting in touch with you soon for more blades. I have to check my supply. Dick heppnerguy
  25. thank you. My neighbor appeared to like it just fine. Paul, Sharon is in Heppner right now so she could be with our daughter, Liz who has stage 4 cancer. I was up there with her a couple of weeks ago and ended up having a 2 hour delay at the in Pasco. I did not have a car of my own there so I was unable to go and visit with you but I sure thought about you a lot while I was there. Dick heppnerguy
