Jim Finn Posted April 1, 2017 Report Posted April 1, 2017 I do a lot of wood working these days including making wooden stars. I am a retired sheet metal worker so I made a bunch of these of sheet metal and painted them. SOld a few just plain brown but now paint them like this: Karl S, Dan, Lucky2 and 1 other 4 Quote
Scrolling Steve Posted April 1, 2017 Report Posted April 1, 2017 Those are super, Jim !....Really like the red, white and blue......How much do you sell then for and are they too large to ship!.....Bye the way, Happy B-Day ! Jim Finn 1 Quote
Jim Finn Posted April 1, 2017 Author Report Posted April 1, 2017 Way to large to ship. 38" across. I have sold one painted star for $40. I was selling the ones I made that were just painted brown for $25 but sold few. I think this new paint job will sell well. I only have three left now and I am looking for more metal to make more. My sales season does not start until mid June. Quote
ChelCass Posted April 1, 2017 Report Posted April 1, 2017 The Flag painted star should be a hot seller. My BF painted one of my antique metal chair as a american flag and I posted it on Facebook and people were wanted to buy it................................If people are willing to pay the postage you should be able to get some large size boxes to ship them in. How about making some smaller versions that would be easier to ship?? Jim Finn 1 Quote
meflick Posted April 1, 2017 Report Posted April 1, 2017 Look very nice Jim. Sure they would be good sellers in Texas for sure! Jim Finn 1 Quote
Scrappile Posted April 1, 2017 Report Posted April 1, 2017 Very nice. Thought about making several sizes? Jim Finn 1 Quote

Jim Finn Posted April 1, 2017 Author Report Posted April 1, 2017 I have made and sold some smaller metal stars but they are harder to make, so I no longer make them, Quote
Lucky2 Posted April 2, 2017 Report Posted April 2, 2017 Jim, seeing as how you live in Texas, these stars should be selling like hotcakes. I like the look of all of them, but that wooden one is amazing. Len Jim Finn 1 Quote
