Hi All:

Well good weather is coming fast. The craft fairs will be starting soon. Here's an easy idea to promote yourself as well as your works at the shows. You can design a t-shirt showcasing your art that includes your logo and a picture of your work. If you don't have a business name you can use a clever saying that will get the attention of potential buyers. You can even wear the T around town, you never know when an inquisitive person may walk up to you and ask some questions.

The shirts are simple to create. Pick up a few t-shirts (white is easiest to work with), a package of iron on transfer paper. Create and print your design and iron on. They do sell transfer sheets for colored t-shirts but I've never tried them.

Really good idea. Thank you for sharing this information.

I am thinking about craft shows, and I have know idea what I can expect. I am relatively new to this art. I have done alot of crafts, mostly sewing, crochet and knitting. I have sold items through consignment, but I wanted to try something different. Any suggestions are warmly welcomed. :)

The weather here in Ohio has been great, except for the wind. The trees are budding and my allergies are too!

I have another idea for marketing. . . .

At Wal Mart they sell blank note cards fairly cheap. I think the packages are about $8 per 50 cards and envelopes. If you have nice pictures of your designs, you could print them out on the cards and sell them at shows for a couple of dollars each. I have done this with some of my paintings and I was amazed that people wanted them and really liked them. I wound up selling them for about $4 each or 6 for $20. People like to share their love of crafts and woodworking with others. It is a small investment to make and may bring you a little extra at the shows and help your customers to remember you too. Just put your information on the back in a nice font and it makes a nice presentation.

Just a thought . . .

Sheila
