Could you post the measurements for the individual letter templates?

I've got 2-3 older sets from a Craftsman branded model and maybe another (Porter Cable?) I haven't looked at them in years, especially since I bought my cnc router.

I haven't used this pantograph, but it looks like you could go into a word program and make your own templates.  If you know how to use a program such as photoshop or inkscape, they could be used also.  Just find a font you like, print individual letters out to the size you want, and use them.  You might even be able to use them to cut out templates from thin sheet stock, and glue them to a backer board to cut down on the freehand routing.

I have routed out signs using the router freehand, after drawing the sign on the wood.  This isn't as hard as it sounds, and I got pretty good results from it.

Good luck with your sign making.
