SCR0LL3R Posted May 9, 2010 Report Posted May 9, 2010 This is my latest project. I am very pleased with how it turned out. I have only done a few segmentations and I really want to do realistic looking shaping. I had a lot of fun and got started doing another bird already. Quote

Firedkm Posted May 9, 2010 Report Posted May 9, 2010 That turned out really nice! What kind of wood did you use and what did you use as a finish? Quote

SCR0LL3R Posted May 11, 2010 Author Report Posted May 11, 2010 Thanks for the kind words everyone. I used 1/2" maple for the bird, 1/'4 bird's eye maple for the frame and cherry veneer for the backer. Paint was DecoArt Americana Acrylic and the varnish was spray-on Americana matte sealer Quote
