GPscroller Posted July 11, 2017 Report Posted July 11, 2017 Was thinking of surprising Dad with a wooden portrait of him. He is living with us full time in Alberta now and the house of 52 years back in Flin Flon is stripped and for sale. Thought the wooden portrait would cheer him up. The pic is from nephew's wedding last September (Dad is the one in the center lol). If I need to post a better pic, let me know, and I will try to get one without him asking lots of questions. Thanks all in advance. Jeff Quote
Birchbark Posted July 11, 2017 Report Posted July 11, 2017 Your Dad seems happy enough in this shot Jeff. sad news about the house tho. Here's my attempt at your pattern request. I'm sure you'll get others. A picture of the completed work is always appreciated. Russell Scrolling Steve, GPscroller, frankorona and 2 others 5 Quote
GPscroller Posted July 11, 2017 Author Report Posted July 11, 2017 Thanks Russell. The pattern is more than I could have hoped for. Was thinking of just cutting Dad, was not expecting all three of us. Once again thanks for your time and effort, you actually made me look almost good lol. Jeff Birchbark 1 Quote
TDpainter Posted July 11, 2017 Report Posted July 11, 2017 Hey Jeff Here's my try at a pattern for you. TDpainter frankorona, Dave Monk and GPscroller 3 Quote
GPscroller Posted July 11, 2017 Author Report Posted July 11, 2017 Thanks Travis, will keep this pattern on file. Have cut Russell's pattern already. Folded the pattern and enlarged 200% to get just Dad. Will cut all three of us later on, am going to cut Janice next and surprise her. Attaching pic of Dad and finished project (sort of, not oiled or framed yet). Once again thanks Russell and Travis for the patterns. Jeff frankorona, multitom and Birchbark 3 Quote

Thanks for sharing your work for the pattern makers to see. I am sure it makes them happy to see their work actually completed. Thanks for sharing. GPscroller 1 Quote
