Rob Posted August 7, 2017 Report Posted August 7, 2017 Scrolling has taken a back seat for a bit while I have been building a mobile stand for my planer/thicknesser. It weighs over 85kg (190 lbs) so was hard to move around the workshop. This stand is based on a design by Carl Holmgren I found on YouTube. He has several other designs so if you have something that would benefit from being mobile, his videos are well worth a look. Rob Lucky2, bobscroll, Dan and 1 other 4 Quote

Scrappile Posted August 8, 2017 Report Posted August 8, 2017 (edited) That looks like a good one. I have a favorite that I got the plans for from, I think, Wood Magazine, years ago. I have three of my tools sitting on them. Made one, it worked so well, I made two more for other tools. The little lever on the front is operated by my foot, flip it one way and it raises the wheels and lowers the height adjusters to the floor making the tool stationary. Flip it the other way it lowers the wheels down and the unit become moveable. Edited August 8, 2017 by Scrappile oldhudson, Rob and Dan 3 Quote
