Mark SW Posted August 7, 2017 Report Posted August 7, 2017 I live in Colorado and sometimes it gets cold. My question is in your opinion is it save to use a propane heater as long as I have cross ventilation? If I have the heater ~ 10' away from me is it safe? Oh almost forget I am on oxygen. I use mainly a portable E tank or sometimes in the garage I take my concentrator If you do not want to answer I really understand, Quote
Woodmaster1 Posted August 7, 2017 Report Posted August 7, 2017 I have a bigmaxx gas heater that hangs from the ceiling. Works great no issues and it cost me an extra $10 a month on the budget. I keep the garage at about 70 degrees in the Indiana winters. Quote
jerry1939 Posted August 7, 2017 Report Posted August 7, 2017 I would be VERY afraid of the sawdust buildup on the heater. It is quit possible that it would void your insurance policy. jerry Quote
jbrowning Posted August 7, 2017 Report Posted August 7, 2017 I live in Colorado Springs and use one of those electric fireplaces that look like a wood burning stove. I normally need it about 10-15 feet away from me, but I can normally stay in my garage when it is done in the teens and twenties before I start whining that I'm cold. Quote
WayneMahler Posted August 7, 2017 Report Posted August 7, 2017 Open flames with oxygen and saw dust sounds scary to me. I was thinking more on the line Jim was with something electric. Lucky2 and Scrolling Steve 2 Quote
Lucky2 Posted August 7, 2017 Report Posted August 7, 2017 NO, it is not safe, you are on oxygen. You should know that, how long have you been on oxygen tanks? Len Scrolling Steve and WayneMahler 2 Quote
