After going over the instructions that Travis so kindly placed on this site nine zillion times at least on using Gimp I am finally creating patterns..two of which I posted on here yesterday...

This is my problem with Gimp I have tried multiple ways to get it to scale the image which it did the first few times I used it however now I have to use the nodes to make the image fit the drawing area, typing in the size I want and hitting ok isn't working.

From looking Gimp over id this one of the bugs that has been mentioned and therefore I just have to live with it...

Am I missing a step or what..Okc Pa Pa

It's probably not related to your problem as i'm just learnin as of yesterday. But L2 lesson two of gimp is speaking about size.I don't know if that is a quick fix for you. Also i don't go on facebook.could you post your flea market shop photos to ssv, please,i'd love to look at it.

I'm away from GIMP right now, so I'll have to go from the top of my head. The only place to type in a size is when you're setting up a workspace/document. Once you have your work space open, there isn't a place to type in a size to resize an element. That is a feature of Inkscape which isn't available in GIMP. So you'll have to rely on the nodes for resizing elements.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Like I said, I don't have GIMP in front of me right now. :eye:
