Jim Finn Posted January 14, 2018 Report Posted January 14, 2018 When I did not have a smart phone I went to my bank and they set me up with equipment to take credit card payments. Even printed out a paper receipt. I now have a smartphone and a reader attachment and it is better. Easier and less errors. Quote
Phantom Scroller Posted January 14, 2018 Report Posted January 14, 2018 Interesting thread Square or PayPal I'll have to take a look into this, which one is the cheapest who takes the most money from your sales. Answers on a postcard. Only kidding, if anyone has already checked I'd be interested to know the findings. Roly Quote
dgman Posted January 14, 2018 Report Posted January 14, 2018 Square is just 2.7% per transaction. No other fees or charges. If the card won't scan, you can enter it manually, but that coast 3%. I don't know about PayPal or any others. Square deposits you money the next buissness day. So if you have a Sat. show, your money will be deposited on Monday, unless of corse that day is a Holiday. Add the fact that it tracks your sales, and automatically adds sales tax if you set it to do so, and you can print a report at anytime, along with no other fees, Its no doubt the better deal. When I started I compared the different readers available. Square won hands down. Phantom Scroller 1 Quote

For an example on $70 order I wound up with $68 in my account, which I think wasn't bad at all. And more and more people that come to the craft shows have credit cards and little cash. Anyone one who uses square knows what I mean. Just my opinion. edward All i had was a beeper, lol Quote
