Is anyone familiar with the Gearify program used to design gears.

It says you can download data to a dxf or cvs file, which I am not familiar with. What do I need to read and use these files. It appears a cad program.

I am looking for  a way to design my own gears and print the patterns. Any advice or help would be welcome.

Some of the design / patterns I buy are for CNC machines.. and they use the DXF type files.. There used to be a free viewer program I used.. well i thought it was free.. turned out to be a free trial.. Somehow I came across another one.. but it wouldn't allow me to print or save the opened up file.. I could only view it.. I don't do too many of these patterns so my work around was to save to clipboard.. then paste into word or other program where I could print it.. The last few DXF patterns I've purchased.. I asked the seller if they could send it in a PDF for me.. so I haven't had to deal with it anymore..

Maybe someone else will chime in on this.. as I never really found a free program.. all of them wanted a monthly subscription.. and I didn't want that since I might go many months without even using the thing.. I'd be interested in a program if anyone finds anything..

Here's a link to a few different free .dxf file viewers.  This short article tells you what .dxf files are and what opens them and where to get the program to open it.

It looks to me like the DWG TrueView program is the way to go, but there are other choices, you can decide.
