Hi, I have just had my first attempt at making a pattern by following the tutorial in the University section. I couldnt find the video of it finished so I just had a go myself at finishing up. would like to know if this is ok or have I gone horribly wrong ??

Other than a small 'floater' below the chin you have done pretty well for your first pattern.

TIP: Flood fill the 'wood' area of the pattern with a different colour .ie. red, and any area that remains in white will reveal a floating piece that will need to be edited and linked to the main piece.

Thanks for the input on this. I wasn't sure if going all lack on the hair was the best way of doing things and if the area to cut out the nose was to wide ??

Really appreciate the tip about Flood Filling with red as well!

You got it! Like mentioned just watch for floaters. As you progress with pattern designing these will become apparent. Just remember, everyone interprets a subject differently. That's what makes it interesting. Keep up the good work...Now cut it
