I had an inquiry from Canada regarding purchase of my puzzles.

The shipping cost is outrageous - around $50 US or $68 Canadian.

Is there anyone in Canada that would be interested in making some puzzles for a lady in Sault Ste Marie?

May I ask how you ship these? I ask because I can mail my puzzles out to Canada and the cost is only $16.. I just mailed a desk clock to Russia this week that only cost $22 and it weighs in at just over 1 pound... 

Many people use those rip off shipping methods of the flat rate boxes etc.. and that is extremely expensive to do especially for international orders... You can mail up to 16oz. in the USA and I think it's near 2-3 pounds for international for first class mail.. first class mail is like the same thing as priority mail and the only time my packages have taken longer than priority by more than one day is during the holidays.. most my items are mailed to the destination within 3 days.. sometimes 4...

I just calculated 2.6lbs in a box sized at 12 x 12 x 6 to Ontario and for first class mail the rate was quoted $25.25 in US dollars... I have no idea what that is Canadian but a long ways from $50

However the problem has been solved. The customer lives just across the U.S. border and has arranged for me to ship to MI for $8 and she will pick up there. Thanks for volunteering.
