grosa Posted December 2, 2018 Report Posted December 2, 2018 This is the wave detail we did on the tiki bar in the resort at the Key's. These waves were made from PVC, http://www.kommerlingusa.com/komacel/technical.cfml#colors The waves were cut out on an inverted pin router using a template we made out of plywood. The light blue part is made from 3/4" material. The medium blue part and the dark blue parts are made from 1/2" material. The parts were stacked on top of each other to give it a 3D effect. They were glued with PVC glue and stainless steel screws. The waves were then painted with paint that was designed to paint plastic. The waves were done in sections. They were screwed to the stucco wall and all the holes were filled and painted to match. meflick and jbrowning 2 Quote
spirithorse Posted December 3, 2018 Report Posted December 3, 2018 Another amazing project! I would have assumed that the owners would just opt to paint the waves on to avoid the expense of custom built accents. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse Quote
