They are all up north Rob, none down here at the bottom of Victoria.  True story: A teacher friend of mine went up north to teach and the school was placed near a river.  There were always 3 or 4 teachers on yard duty who had to blow their whistles furiously if there was any signs of crocs or snakes.  She only stayed a year her nerves couldn't handle it.  😨

Yes you have to have  a license, i.e. be a wildlife carer.  They dig enough burrows .  They are as tall as a medium size dog and 4 times as wide.  they sleep in the day and are active at night.  They are know as the bulldozers of the bush.
