  8. Just finished this one up, I have had the turkey pattern for a cuple of years found it on the internet and mounted the bird to a base. Made of cherry with BLO finish, topped with satin spray lacquer.
  9. What blade would be best for cutting 1 3/4" hard Maple? I am finding ot to be a difficult thing to cut. Karl

  13. I did electrical Maintenance for 43 years and my first question was usually, "is it plugged in? and is it turned on?"surprisingly, that fixed many problems. LOL.

  17. I have a 10" DeWalt compound miter saw that I have been useing for probably eight years now, and it's extremely accurate and I have NO complants whatsoever. I wold buy it again. I didn't want a slider, this one does everything I need to do.

  19. Baby oil is Mineral oil.
  20. First What kind of oil? Mineral oil will never dry but Blo ,or walnut oil , or tung oil will dry, but it may take a couple of days, then you are good to spray your gloss finish.

  23. Rubber gloves ,drop cloth, and a 1" brush and have at it . It sounds like a twenty minute job, Easy peasy!,
  24. Kevin, you get what you pay for, a cheap chuck will let the bit slip, a good one will not. I have never had mine let the bit slip at all. YMMV! My chuck is 0 to 1/2" I don't see it listed at this time .You might give them a call to see if it is available. I am 86 years old and learned a long time ago when it comes to tools you buy the best that you can afford. I made my living for 46 years using tools and I never regretted buying GOOD tools.
  25. Ray, The chuck that I sent a picture of is a zero to 3/8" from Little machine shop. I have never had a problem with the bit coming loose, or inserting a bit into the chuich. I guess I am lucky! '
