  1. You can replace the bearings. Be aware that the nut on the motor is a left hand thread. Bearings can be purchased at your local bearing supplier or on line from McMaster Carr. Should not be too difficult just take tour time and if needed take pictures as you go along, I don't see you having much trouble.
  2. I have and still use my Craftsman table saw that I bought in 1957 and I use it almost every day, A lot of people don't like them but I upgraded the fence and it was the best improvement I could have done the rest of it is rock solid and I am pretty sure the same drive belt is still on the saw and works super smooth.
  3. Just saying you get what you pay for .
  4. Dan, You are totally correct, My question though is "WHY" don't people see this before they get stung?? I just think sometime they want someone to feel sorry for them? How many times does one have to touch a Hot plate before they realize that it's HOT!
  5. I keep seeing all of these posts about how unhappy people are with Delta Products, but they never seem to learn not to buy them. I am of the opinion that if you have an inferior product and you put it on sale at the box stores or amazon that people are going to scramble to buy it, because they want Cheap First Quality products, and when they aren't happy with it they send it off to be repaired and wait forever to get it back. Then they can complain to everyone that they were taken advantage of. I guess I am of a different breed, I got bitten once and Never went back nor will I ever go back. People are sure strange animals, and I guess they will never understand. The words" Cheap"and "Great" don't go together ! Rant Over ! Merry Christmas.
  6. Use a piece of # 12 copper wire and tape it along the arm with black electrical tape, it will provide the stiffness that you need.
  7. #2 shows better To my eyes
  8. It keeps the shelves smooth and makes them easier to clean and no scratches to boot.
  9. Saw Stop just for the safety factor
  10. All well and good, the problem comes about when you need parts and they more or less tell you just buy another one. Speaking of longevity, I am still using my Craftsman 10" table saw that I bought new in the 1950's and there are still a lot of parts still out there for this saw. Not all parts mind you but some, I'm 85 yrs old so its doesn't matter too much for me any longer, LOL! I still use it almost every day and so far so good,
  11. I'm glad for you, I am sorry to have to say I have just the opposite experience with them, and will never buy from them again. They use to be a great brand and then they decided that profit was more important than the quality of their product, It's a real shame!
  12. "DELTA", Careful what you ask for, You might just get it!
  13. I use a light spray of clear shellac, then lightly sand the surface, and haven't noticed this problem a couple of extra steps bt it pays off in the end.
  14. Not if you use a sharp bit and Light cuts
  15. Only one way to find out,---Try It!!
  16. I recently needed a new blade for my miter saw and I got the Mikita 80 tooth blade and it's super nice, it gives me great cuts and didn't break the bank. https://www.amazon.com/Makita-93681-10-Inch-Polished-Mitersaw/dp/B000MQOOGI/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=makita+miter+saw+blade&qid=1597594530&sr=8-1

  18. I go to Paxton's i Cincinnati and i feel like I died and went to heaven, and my wallet feels so much lighter also, Great place and nice staff.
  19. You won't be sorry, Klingspore is all I have used for the past twenty years and I think it's the best.
  20. Jessie James used a gun!
  21. It also appears that your drill bit is dull or that you are forcing it through the plywood rather than let it cut it's way through Just guessing since there are splintered places where the bit came out the back side. this would give your surface ply a place to start tearing away from the other layers as you cut.
  22. Dick I think it is great just as it is, You did a fine job.If you think it's not right look at it as an opportunity to get yourself a little lazer engraver to do your writing. See, there is always an excuse for a new tool. LOL! Karl
  23. On a Bandsaw?? I think you have the wrong thread Dan
  24. FYI, Accelerator is not water. at least what I use isn't.
  25. You have WAY more patience than I do, I would have used a router and a template and save hours of time. But you're finished product sure looks nice.
