  1. Since Deft is no longer available here I have switched to Behlens spray Lacquer and I like their finish and the spray nozzle is really good. As long as I have to order it I get what I like best, and so far Behlens is good for me.
  2. BUT__ Impossible to purchase locally around here. Great stuff but it's gone!
  3. I might add that you need to make sure the board is not too short, it needs to contact both the infeed and outfeed rollers when going through your planer.
  4. If you have a Harbor Freight near, you might look at their offerings.

  9. Ok, when is a scrap too small to save? When it's too small to glue together in order to get a bigger piece. Or (Sawdust size)!
  10. 25.4Mmm = 1" do the math .
  11. Rigid gets good marks for a bench top planer, I have a Delta that is probably 10 or12 years old. I make end grain boards and use a joiner to flatten one side of the board and then the planer to get even thickness I use rough cut lumber so thats how I do it. Currently working on a board the they want 2" thick an 12 1/2 wide and 18" long Walnut, Cherry and Hard Maple.

  15. And knowing first hand of the history of Delta parts you will be S.O.L. when you need parts!
  16. Yes they did, but you can still order from Mikes and the postage is less from what I have heard, so that's what I do.
  17. They do have fast service, I got my order today I ordered on the 10th, You can't beat that kind of service. Kudos' to them
  18. Grab the edge like a tearing motion and only pull slightly until it starts to tear then you can separate the baking from the liner, the paper tears but the liner doesn't
  19. If that's the case Jerry I had better sell my saw, I don't look good at all any more!
  20. The right blade is the ones you prefer to use and are the most satisfied with. Everybody is different .

  22. It looks a lot like Red Elm to me Just my $.02
  23. Just curious Les, why the 50/50 BLO mix if you are going to clear coat and then Paint? seems like an un-necessary step. By the way very nice cutting there.
  24. Very nice shop you have there, Thanks for showing it
  25. 4/4 means 1" thick 1/4" X 4. This is the standard for measuring hardwoods 4/4 =1" 5/4= 1 1/4" 6/4 =1/1/2" Etc.
