  1. Check with a heating and air conditioning company near you they often have them from furnace replacements and usually have to dispose of them, that's where I got mine . I have been using it for probably ten years with no problem.
  2. Ray, I made a box to fit a discarded furnace blower (Free) and installed double 16"x 20" furnace filters ahead of the blower intake and it lives under my workbench, I have found it to be very effective at removing dust in the air in the shop, I have found that the first filter catches the majority of the ambient dust so I just throw the first one out and move a new one in back of the stack. Works well for my needs
  3. Jerry I think you might have meant to say that the cutting edge needs to be slightly higher on the bit than the heel
  4. looks like a labor of Love. Well done
  5. Halloween Mobile, not a very good picture, Sorry The web is about 16" across to give you some perspective. 1/8" Baltic birch
  6. Great job on yours, it's on my to do list for sure
  7. I made this for Halloween since my wife loves the season.
  8. looks like Red oak to me. Cut off a piece along the long grain and if you can blow air through it it is red oak. See if you can blow bubbles in a glass of water.
  9. Don't know how much you want to spend but I put this one on my drill press and have been very happy for a few years, It goes down to 1/32" and up to 1/2" No appreciable runout and I have never had a bit come loose and some people have said about keyless chucks .It's from Little Machine Shop.
  10. Nice score, I would like to get one for that price
  11. Not a joke, go to their website , it's available in stores! If not in stock they will have it shipped to the store for pickup.Check it out!
  12. Absolutely unbelieveable! I hope someone remembers to buy load for me. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Crates-Pa...21+Lumber&pp=0
  13. I hate to say this, but you would be better off by not tearing it completely down as you show. Just remove parts, inspect and or repair as needed, and then move on to the next section while leaving the frame of the saw together as the Gwinnett video shows. I'm not trying to be mean just helpful since you say you're not great at putting things back together. You will be fine, just take your time and look everything over really well.
  14. Your grandson will love those, nice job. Paul.
  15. Could be poplar, but it's Mahogany
  16. Mahogany for sure
  17. You brought up a good safety measure. Older cords CAN and DO become brittle over time and cause the problem you discovered. Glad you found it before something serious happened to your shop and family.
  18. Congrats Paul they are great, Well done! Karl
  19. Sounds like a great time, glad you could get together.
  20. Delta has gone to pot since the original owners sold out to the Chinese corporation. I would NOT buy anything with the Delta name on it personally. I have been burned by their inability to supply parts for their machines. It's a shame that what was such a good machine manufacturer has gone down the road that they have. I know there are people that still swear by their name and tools but I am sure not one of them YMMV.
  21. Nice looking clock Paul, it won't take her long to notice that for sure.
  22. If you are sure the bellows is good, then look at what operates the bellows and see if there is a problem with that part. Keep checking back to the source
  23. Here's what I have so far as of today.
