  1. Like most everyone else around here, I started with Steve's patterns. He lived and worked here in Lexington until just a few years ago and was just a few miles from my house. Sadly, I never got the chance to meet him in person. Steve truley was an icon in the scroll saw universe. He will be missed.
  2. This is a Dyson that I picked up off the curb about 10 years ago. It has hundreds of hours on it and no telling how old it was when I picked it up.
  3. Impressive!
  4. Thank You. I didn't even know what to call it!
  5. I'm looking for a tutorial for inkscape that will show me how to make (do?) letters within letters similar to this image (downloaded from Schrollsawvillage). I'm okay with inkscape, I just can't figure how to do this one. So if you've done a tutorial or know where one exists, I would certainly appreciate a link. Merry Christmas!!! Edit: After putting this thread in here, I did realize that it should probably be in Pattern Making.
  6. And thank you to everyone who responed!
  7. Hi Gang. I know this thread is about 6 months old but I'm looking for a new stool so I just typed in "stool" in the search bar and this thread popped up. My question is, if you get a stool like the one just above me with a foot rest all around the bottom, how do you work your on/off foot pedal?
  8. I think you would be okay. If you're in doubt and don't want to drill the mounting holes, perhaps try clamping the saw in place first.
  9. Just an FYI, I just bought a couple of patterns. I figure it's the least we can do to help out Alex. Wish we could do more.
  10. Nice. I had a 20+ year old Hawk and was very pleased with the performance. Im sure a brand new one will be awesome!
  11. Thanks Kevin. I’ve been out a while and this is my 2021 re-entry.
  12. More power to you and may you enjoy this second retirement, too!
  13. A Steve Good pattern. And Mimi the Beagle says "MERRY CHRISTMAS"!
  14. Got one when I bought the heater. Thanks.
