  1. Nice piece of scrolling
  2. Thanks for all the compliments
  3. a a plaque I made for my grandson today. That boy loves to fish for catfish and deer hunt with his bow. Frame is walnut backdrop is ash and the fisherman and words are cherry.
  4. Merry Christmas
  5. Merry Christmas to you and your family
  6. I bought them from The Winfield Collection, but they are in hard copy form. You might contact Karen at The Art Factory. She is Dirk's widow. Thank you Denny I found them.
  7. Denny where can I find those patterns? Thanks
  8. The pattern was in Wood magazine December 1997
  9. Here are some snowflakes I made for my wife. They are made out of 1/8 inch Baltic birch and painted white with some glitter sprinkled on. They are about 4 inches in diameter. Pattern I’ve had for many years and just now decided to make some.
  10. Very nice
  11. I have the 226 ultra that I bought new in 96 and a 20 inch ultra made in 99 that I bought used for $300. The only thing I’ve replaced on the 226 is the spring in the back and it’s had a lot of use over the years. The 220 I’ve haven’t had to replace anything on it but it doesn’t get as much use as the 226 because I prefer it over the 220. They are expensive new but you will never have to buy another one. By the way I bought the 220 in central Illinois about 4 years ago and it hadn’t had hardly any use. I live in southeast Iowa.
  12. The pattern came out of a scrollsaw magazine. I don’t remember which one though.
  13. finally got the ornaments done just need to finish them. Top is red oak middle is walnut and bottom is a really light color cherry
  14. I will post pictures once I get the ornaments done. Still can’t sit out there very long problems with back and one leg. Here’s a picture of my last project I made last year.
  15. After about a year away from the scrollsaw because life happens I started scrolling again today. It’s amazing how you retain your muscle memory for that long. Cutting was just like I had done it yesterday. Cutting some Xmas ornaments for my kids trees just to get back in the swing of things.
