  1. I have tried every kind of mask and/or respirator on the market other than a self contained system. The bottom line is; I just don't like them. So I try to do as much dust creating work outside with a floor standing fan at my back and a EZ Mask. As for the scroll sawing I do use a RZ Mask only because I need the lighting for my work.
  2. Nice display, good work. We too live in a small town, 25,000 pop. city, 125,000 total county and a $300 show is about average for us. We just moved here 5 yrs. ago.
  3. I didn't tell you at the time they were about $12 so that may of helped the sales too.
  4. Nice job on both. Good idea, will catch people attention as they walk or drive by. Maybe you will get the contract to do the whole street!!
  5. I talked with a manage at a Harbor Freight Store and he said HF corp. said that they estimate 80% of the their mini tool boxes were sold to women or purchased for women.
  6. I too have the stick. Took awhile to figure out the "search" part but once I did master it worked great. Lots of patterns there. I would advise anyone who does have one to get one.
  7. Dick, If you would like, just post more of your work and I will pass them off to my wife. WARNING! She is very critical at times.....she hates all of my work. LOL
  8. You did a great job. My wife is a professional artist/teacher and taught at Wake Forest University for many years. I showed your work to her and she was impressed she said "wonderful" which is a 9 out 0f 10 in her speak.
  9. I know this subject has been brought up many times, but I believe I have a new perspective to share. I apply masking tape to my wood and spray glue back of the the pattern then apply the pattern to the wood. Well, many times as I start my cutting the pattern has started to curl around the edges. So now before applying the glued-up pattern, I used 300-400 grit sandpaper on the tape. This just takes seconds, but the pattern stays in place a lot better. Seems like the higher priced tape is coated and doesn’t like the glue. I have used clear packing tape, but the LED lights in my shop reflects off it and bother my old eyes.
  10. I tried them all but the best FOR ME are strong, quality, reading glasses and sewing machine led lights. I have several sets of each at eachat my "work stations". So, with that said, the best set up is what works for you.
  11. Steve's Scrollsaw Workshop is primarily supported by donations. I sent a small donation this morning to show Steve my appreciation. In the past I have used his plans and have purchased his Memory Sticks and/or donations.
  12. The hands free feature is what I like and the base looks steady maybe use a couple of screws to hold down. But the price $114? Not sure how often I would use. GreggA is right "Great little setup".
  13. I like the features of this tool set up for my toy making. So what rotary tool are you using in this set up? I have several Dremel rotary tools, will they work with this set up?
  14. Beautiful. Did you make make the frame too?
