Thank I hadn't seen or heard of this going on. I will check but I do not think it affects my model.

Cutting Corian

I would second the suggestions. I used a 3-5 blade slow down and one other thing years ago it was suggested to me to try Duck tape instead of packing tape. Changed my cutting without Melting together.

Happy to see your return. I understand old and can relate. my dad just turned 100 in March we talk often mind is still good so I enjoy and am blessed by his advice and discussion every day.
-
Wow now that your set forever you certainly won't need to worry about it calapsing what you going make.
-
Glad your doing well again and hope the fluid clears out. My dad always said getting older is not for the faint of heart and he will be 100 on March 5. Keep up the dust prevention, masks etc. if asked if he has any secret to a long life he just says don't stop breathing.

I have made same and similar baskets to them and did not sell any. I didn't try because my wife grabbed them for her stuff, If there is a empty space she will fill it and what she did not want she gave away

You have a very nice wife may I share this story with my wife. It won't help but you never know. Best start your Christmas shopping soon for wife supplies of everything are running low. Enjoy your new saw.

Reading all the great comments I sunk into thinking Harry Potter, the wand chooses the wizard. Does the Scroller Choose the Scroll Saw OR does the Scroll Saw Choose the Scroller. Either way I would if you have a store to go to and try out the saws they have, pick them up and see how the strain is on your back and arms.

Cutting 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 PADAUK WOOD?
bandaideman replied to hawkeye10's topic in General Scroll Sawing
Maybe it's time for the grandson to take up Scroll sawing and you can give advice as it goes. I have done she pieces and board a few times they are always a challenge. I often get the blank set up and cut one taking the time and energy it takes then put on a few ornaments or other small things and have time with easier cut fast as you want then cut another chess piece seems to go faster but I am sure it is slower. -
Welcome to the Village from Winston Salem. enjoy your time here

Congratulations on your work and efforts that is fantastic. -
I use the Shop tunes earphone set to listen to music while sawing and doing other noise making tools. Or wife and I do where hearing aids just got them a couple months ago. My wife decided I could not hear so good and could not believe it may be I just don't pay attention to every word and insists on talking when your watching a TV program. The hearing aids stream the phone through them so if someone calls texts leaves message what ever I hear that and I can just take to the phone and voice goes to the caller. Of course you need to shut tools down or caller can't hear you. I wear them mowing and can hook up to the CD player I don't have a Alexa or Herman for that matter

I have cut Plexiglass years ago and there was someone in Tenesee who sold supplies for scroll saw folks and had picnics back in the day. Can not remember the name but got stuff from them but they are closed up now. Any way he used duct tape over the Plexi then pattern and very slow speed. I did this and it worked well unless speed increase then you would have melt and stick to gather. Made ornaments, birds, etc.
