  1. I’m doing a stack cut of 4 layers of 1/4 Baltic Birch. The bottom layer is tearing out quite badly. I am using a FD Ultra Reverse 3 Any ideas as to what I could/should change?
  2. I'm doing a project out of 1/4" Baltic birch and had some problems with grain lifting on narrow areas. I used blue painters tape on the bare wood and glued my paper pattern with contact cement on the tape. When I peeled the tape, with the help of a heat gun, slivers of the surface stayed on the tape. Can I use a sanding sealer or another product prior to applying the tape to help prevent this? I'll be spraying a light coat of stain followed by clear lacquer from a rattle can to finish. Thanks, Tom
  3. Hello everyone!! After some time with no time to spend with the scrollsaw (due to exams), I´m back with this fantastic project. Thanks to Grampa for the great pattern, because I really enjoyed doing it. It is made of 5mm plywood, with a black back, and I called it "spots of tears", remembering an old story about how spots appear on the jaguar and cheetah´s skins. Thank you again for the pattern, and I hope you like it
  4. Our woodworking club has been asked to make chairs for children by Ronald McDonald house here in Lubbock. They will have local artists decorate these chairs and then offer them for auction as a fund raiser. These are the first two. They want thirty of them. Two different sizes. Made of 1/2” baltic birch plywood and are twenty inches tall. These are cut out using a jig saw and a scroll saw. Only twenty-eight more to make. Total cost of materials is $6.33 per chair.
