oldhudson Posted February 22, 2019 Report Posted February 22, 2019 I've shopped woodworking equipment and supplies at Rockler for many years. I used to get mailings that offered free shipping on orders over a certain dollar amount. I haven't gotten one in ages and needed some supplies so I placed my order yesterday after lunch. The least expensive shipping $10.00. Today in my email in-basket was the offer for free shipping on orders over $35.00. Agghh! I have two Rockler's in town but I placed an on-line order because the sandpaper (Norton Pro Job Pack) I wanted they only sell on-line, not at the store. What's that all about anyway??? Thanks for listening. Quote
meflick Posted February 22, 2019 Report Posted February 22, 2019 Understand your rant. Seems to always happen that way to me as well. You probably got the email BECAUSE you placed your order yesterday. That is how it always seems to work. Wish we had any Rockler somewhat close to us but alas none. There are two in the Atlanta GA area so if we are passing through or by (happens more now that I have Daughter in the area) we may hit up the store there. We were on vacation last week in FL and stopped in at the one outside of Orlando area. North, closest one is in Cincinnati, Ohio. None that I can find any closer. I keep telling them to tell them we need one in Knoxville! Maybe one day. oldhudson 1 Quote
Chiloquinruss Posted February 22, 2019 Report Posted February 22, 2019 I went to a local chain to buy a part, they said it is ONLY available on line. So I came home and ordered the part. It arrived and was the wrong part. I called support and they said - are you ready for this - just take to your LOCAL store and THEY can exchange it! Rant was not quite my reaction!
