RabidAlien Posted March 3, 2019 Report Posted March 3, 2019 Practically glowing, nuclear hot. My wife's grandfather was in the Air Force for a number of years, and at one point was called out to participate in some of the nuclear tests in Nevada. We found a certificate and an interesting tube with a rolled-up picture in it, buried in a trunk under a bunch of other paperwork. I had to frame this photo, one of the atomic bomb tests, the one that he assisted in. This will look AWESOME on the wall somewhere! Falcon, new2woodwrk, jollyred and 2 others 5 Quote

Scrappile Posted March 3, 2019 Report Posted March 3, 2019 Great that you saved that. It is part of my history. I live where the Hanford Project took place. It is where they secretly built the reactors to make the material to go into the bomb. My Dad came here and worked building them. They didn't even know what they were building at the time. They were bused out to the site and back. On one was allowed to talk about anything related to what was being build. It is all a very interesting history on what happened around here.
