teachnlearn Posted March 27, 2019 Report Posted March 27, 2019 With the constant exchange of patterns, searching and loading patterns and my posting of free software. It occurred to me that this gives everyone a higher chance of getting a virus or something called a rootkit. Hopefully, everyone uses some type of security software/firewall. I have a firewall, but double check downloaded files with VirusTotal. It uses multiple scan tools to scan the file. Either the file can be grabbed and moved to the site page, or chosen. It also has tabs to check URLs/ internet websites to find out if the site is loaded with malicious software or files. When I'm downloading software I leave an additional webpage open with this site to move the file to and scan it. There are a variety of browsers and I can't go through every one. I use Firefox and the software, or file are on a download window. To get to the actual downloaded file, I have to click to the source folder. The ACTUAL FILE must be moved to the virus site, not a shortcut. Find and use the actual file, not a listing of downloaded files. Virus Total Site https://www.virustotal.com/#/home/upload Very long Youtube explaining security and Virus total usage. RJF Quote

We were not going to send him to a distant deaf school. So we learned sign language. We put him in public school, but he couldn't hear and the teacher wasn't equipt to teach a hearing impaired student. We pulled him from school and home schooled him, then sent him to college. He graduated with honors. Spent part of our life relearning and teaching school. Now, what do we do? Steal kids off the street and teach them? Spent my life learning or researching and I still do it 'retired'. RJF wombatie and Foxfold 2 Quote
