  1. Does glad press-n-seal keep the pattern fresher than other methods? RJF
  2. Did factory line work. These machines come down lines with people doing the same mind numbing task hour after hour. Eventually things are missed and you get 'lemons'. Another machine would probably be fine, or troubleshoot and fix it, if that's what is fun. RJF
  3. If there are few or none. A approach would be the specific shape, animal, like stacked vase patterns. Create to solid outer shapes and stacked layers as thick as you like.RJF
  4. Scrollsaw softer materials, one suggestion is Jello. RJF
  5. Whats wrong with these people that design magnifiers. A wiper and sprayer, washer solution should come with it. RJF
  6. Funny, but true, used that on my mask for diving. RJF
  7. When I was in business in the Chicago area 2018, I was invited to be a vendor at a large trade show. They wanted $4,000 plus proof of a million dollars insurance. Decided to get a ticket and go around and talk to the other vendors to see what they thought. Large attendance, little sales of anything and most didn't come close to making the fee back or covering the other added expenses, table rental, electric, phone access charge for credit card charging, parking fees for vendors, plus area hotel. Required to setup day before and break down in 2 hours after show with a late fee per hour for security. Some vendors had thief over night even though ''security ' was on the floor all night. The convention center made a killing. The vendors got to talk to a lot of people and get their name out, but it cost them dearly. Most people looked around and looked for demonstrations and samples, then went home and ordered from the internet, or contacted the vendor after on the internet. I 'THINK' these shows are dying like malls. Too convenient to get information and shopping online. With COVID having ready made meal shipped and grocers shipped or delivered is a booming business. Thats odd too me. I thought picking up groceries was easy. Vendors for these 'shows' setup full booths with large screen tvs, lighting, music, carpeting, complete structures for self supporting walls, more structures for hanging projections screens for animation. 8. If you use a gloss paint on the backer board, it might be 'slick', just knock the gloss down with a little sand paper. A light sanding of any paint is going to 'scratch' it and give any glue places to grip. Since its background color, there is little chance anyone is going to see the lightly sanded paint. RJF
  9. Using an air brush for stain is going to depend a little on the type air brush. Finer tips might clog a bit. Manufacturers have charts on recommends uses. Stains are pretty well thinned, so its more of a matter of getting the stain well mixed.'Always check with the folks that manufacturer your tools and supplies. They will know the designs and limits of what they make. Helps with buying decisions. RJF
  10. If the machine plugs into the wall a foot pedal can be added. Foot pedals are plugged into the machine, then the wall. There are on/ off switches and will not vary the speed of the saw. RJF One example https://www.amazon.com/Operated-Controller-Woodworking-Machine-Piggyback/dp/B07VSF64RM/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=foot+pedal&qid=1614108337&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExWkg1RDJCUFA3TDhDJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMDU4MDYzM0NGTjBOTkNKNjJTMCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwOTEyMzU2MTBISFhTNTFKN0NWQSZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=
  11. Found a article on reclaiming plywood. Some may know of it, was new too me. RJF https://makezine.com/2021/02/15/this-week-in-maker-classes-origami-circuits-python-puppets-and-simple-machines/
  12. OOPS, thinking of sales to mechanics my brain turned to AC systems for cars. RJF Note; I would get an AC breaker finder that could handle 240 and 120. There are many that just do 120 with works for the week end home owner. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=220+volt+circuit+breaker+finder&ref=nb_sb_noss
  13. Worked for GE for a year doing appliance repair. Was 'trained' by their school for AC. Regs chenged and there had to be so many school hours in AC and testing for freon. That ended that job. RJF
  14. I think that is exactly the brand I've seen most used for automotive. RJF
  15. Occurred to me after posting my comments. ALSO didn't put in, any time a fuse blows, its a piece of metal over heating and braking the connection. Checking wires should be right up there before plugging in another fuse. Wires can heat and melt the insulation, leaving bare wire. So many different problems with any electrical system. Overloading outlets with heaters during winter can smoke wires. Not a bad idea to open the outlet plates for any heavy amp machines or heaters and check to see if its black in there. Generally starts heating at the connection and can melt wire down the line. RJF
