You have to admit Australia do disasters really well. 2 years ago Victoria had bush fires with over a hundred lives lost, now Queensland is under water. Yesterday or the day before 75% of Queensland was under water thats a lot of area. 4 states have floods and 1 state has a bush fire. We are supposed to be the lucky country!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please spare a thought and a prayer for all of those unfortunate people of which there are thousands that have lost,or have extremely damages homes.

It's truelly devastating to see the disaster unfold everyday .. and its still going and affecting more areas and states

I have donated some money to the flood appeal .. it only seems small compared to the total cost its going to take to clean this up and get everyone lives back on track .. but it all adds up I guess.

We also have bush fires on the other side of the country at the moment

Just a comparison for people who dont know how big the state of Queensland is here, the total land mass is 1,730,648 sq km's .. compare this to the largest state in the USA which is Alaska which has a total land mass of 1,481,347 sq km's

This doesnt count the other states that are also now being affected by the flood waters.

If it gets any worse im going to pack up my scrollsaw (and a generator) and move to the highest mountain here and wait for Noah

I'm coming with you Brett, Victorian floods are getting worse today thanks to the 24 hours of constant rain, it finally stopped here about an hour ago. Friends of our daughters were evacuated and are staying with friends but even the friends place is not cut off by water. Its really bad........All this after years of draught, what next?????????????

Well I hope the best for you! We had those bad floods here in the US for the past 3 or 4 years in a row from the Dakota's down the Mississippi to Arkansas. Those are small floods compared to what your going through. Just imagine the people and wild life affected by the water? My heart goes out to those affected. Hope the people get help rebuilding their lives.
