teachnlearn Posted August 22, 2019 Report Posted August 22, 2019 Been so concentrated creating material from the view point of living in the USA. I realized today there are people on the board that aren't from the US. SO; What favorite saying, signs, scrolls, toys, gadgets, do you folks do that aren't in the USA. tgiro Posted August 25, 2019 Report Posted August 25, 2019 This is a web image but I saw a lot of these in Australia. I think the middle sign means wombat -- While on temporary assignment in England, I didn't even try to drive - I always rode with someone or took a bus or taxi. The an outstanding feature of British traffic is the roundabout -- Here is the sign for the "Magic Circle" -- Here is an aerial shot of the actual roundabout -- teachnlearn, bobscroll and Phantom Scroller 3 Quote

I drove through that every day for over 20 years when I worked for Kodak who's UK HQ was right beside the roundabout. The photo though is for the other Magic Roundabout in Swindon as Roly correctly said. Just for fun, I found a short one minute piece of drone footage of the Hemel Hempstead roundabout showing it in action. Rob bobscroll, teachnlearn and Tomanydogs 3 Quote
tgiro Posted August 28, 2019 Report Posted August 28, 2019 That Jarman Park sign is the one I saw when we went through that circle. I could never figure how my partner knew her way through it. I learned that cabbies over there had to memorize routes to keep their licenses. I bet those circle drove them nuts. I found the aerial view on the web, also. I didn't know there was more than one "magic circle". Quote
