Popular Post OzarkSawdust Posted October 31, 2019 Popular Post Report Posted October 31, 2019 (edited) Finished up the first clock I've made. I did it in 1/2" Oak with several Pegas #3s, then gave it a bath in Watco Danish Oil. Used a Forstner bit for the first time, man does it make a pile of shavings fast, to drill a 1 3/8" hole 1/4" deep. Then set and installed the 1 7/16 clock insert. Not sure where the pattern came from. I think I saw it while surfing the internet. Edited October 31, 2019 by OzarkSawdust Scrappile, Wilson142, Be_O_Be and 9 others 12 Quote
Be_O_Be Posted October 31, 2019 Report Posted October 31, 2019 Very nice piece. I've used these clocks in several pieces I've made and they can add to the look of the piece. Great job! OzarkSawdust 1 Quote

I want to try a bunch of different things and narrow down to the ones I like to do. Then try to get good at, or at least better at, those. Quote

rdatelle Posted October 31, 2019 Report Posted October 31, 2019 Great job on that piece. Yes, those forstner bits do make a mess quick for such a little hole. OzarkSawdust 1 Quote
