new2woodwrk Posted December 26, 2019 Report Posted December 26, 2019 Just thought an update was due... It's been 14 months (Oct. 10 2018) since Hurricane Michael decimated our area. One of our properties finally got rebuilt by November 7th, and we finally got a new tenant! Yay Our house: I still can't do much in the shop, all though I am getting closer to getting to the scroll saw. Last month (Mid - End Nov) we finally got new Windows and a front door, insulation and drywall and paint and new flooring through out. The shop is just full of all kinds stuff we had to move from the house during re-construction plus other things people have been piling on us to sell during yard sales (weather permitting) This is just one room of our damage - fortunately, we were better off than most and not as lucky as others... Here is what happened to the shop The blown out wall being shored up by a 2x4 - we had to add 4 more 2x4's because the wall was pulling the rest of the house with it... From the inside Here are recent pics of the shop: Both sides of the garage The scroll saw was finally uncovered last week Today we managed to clean out a bit more around the scroll saw and the work benches so we're getting close to actually producing something lol Thanks for reading RabidAlien, MTCowpoke22, jollyred and 1 other 3 1 Quote
