Cut from Maple with the lower section of the base made of Mahogany and the top part of the base made from Red Oak.. Cut on the Hawk with a #3 Pegas MGT blade..

Looks great!  I may have to check out that pattern.  I have made something similar as wedding gifts.  I've made about 8 of them (picture below) but a guy recently asked if I had something a little different.. the pattern that you used may fit the bill.

I've actually done several of these over the years... This is the first time I've posted this one.. I do a lot of custom orders where I modify the pattern for this type of thing.. I've also sold several as originally designed.. Fun one to cut.. Was a really big hit about 4-5 years ago... only sell a couple a year now..
