G'day all,
Thought you may be interested in this. It's the Ettamogah Pub in Cunderdin WA, on the highway between Perth and Kalgoorlie. I believe there are 3 of these pubs across Australia all based on upon the Ken Maynard Cartoons of the same name.

We saw the original in Albury on my long service leave from the Police Force in the early 90's. It was a great attraction with Animatronics  etc.
We often stop at the one in Cunderdin for lunch either coming to or going from Perth, depending upon the time. It has no fancy bits and pieces, just the shape and the truck on the roof with a lot of Ken Maynard cartoons inside. Pleasant enough.

There are actually 4 of them, this is the one on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland I took in 2014

This is the one at Kellyville in Sydneys West, I took this one in 2012. I actually drove by it this morning on my way to a scrollsaw group that I am joining

This is the one at Albury I took back in 2001 when I was there for my first Scroll Saw weekend. I have a better one of it somewhere that I took more recently than this, just cant find it at the moment

That one is a real corker. They had the animatronic dog, Scared the bejesus out of me

Gotta say, of all the places I got to see in my short time in the Navy (a lot of them were only seen on a TV screen hooked up to the periscope), Perth/Freemantle was definitely my favorite.

Which is the one that we see on the way to Canberra, I think it's near the Dog on the Tuckerbox?

Coming up from Victoria it would be the one at Albury you would see heading to Canberra, the Dog on the Tuckerbox is just out of Gundagai. Have you stopped at the submarine at Holbrook?

If you look at the cartoons, all the patrons hold their pots by the glass, never by the handle. Ken Maynard explained that in one of his early cartoons, the handle broke of a blokes mug so they dare not risk it again

Yes we have stopped there many a time and had lunch or just a coffee.
