rjR Posted July 24, 2020 Report Posted July 24, 2020 (edited) A customer wanted a Chinese Chess board-- not checkers; CHESS. Made from pine and made to 21-1/2 by 23-1/2. All carefully sanded down and every line put in whit a wood burning pen...The lines are deep enough to easily feel to. A very light stain Min-Wax Golden Oak. Still needs a fast poly spray and then it is ready! The dark center was actually a screw-up. The squares are not supposed to be marked in the center spot.. Because I had them there before I saw that! On to OOPPSS mode--How to fix. Well just dark burn the miss-guided squares. I think the rescue worked. The burning, takes a lot more work than what many realize unless they have done it. The customer was very pleased. He is a repeat on a few other things and has sent his friends to buy from me too. Edited August 9, 2020 by rjR typo and an addition.
