A co-worker asked if I could make her a cutout of her family's Coat of Arms.  I don't know much about Coat of Arms and Family Crests and such, just from what I have Googled.  But nevertheless, I would like to try to make it for her if someone would be kind enough to give the pattern a try.   She sent me a few pics but this one caught my eye.  Thanks in advance for patterns that may be made.

I can't do 'patterns' I don't have the knowledge, but you could do that with a Router, it would come out great. 🤗

LOL,, YOU could do that with a router, I've been following along with your router projects.

Be brave, branch out, you may enjoy it. If I can do it believe me, anyone can .  But thank you anyway for the compliment. x

I also gave this one a try.  I know you've cut my patterns in the past, but this one is gonna take some serious skillz.  I wish you luck if you do decide to try this one.  I hope you get more choices.

As always, a picture of the finished project would be appreciated.

Great work @Dutchscroller and @Birchbark

When I saw the request, my mind immediately went to an Intarsia pattern.

Barry, if you think you want to try an intarsia pattern, I could separate the sections for you
to make this in that style. In all actuality, the embellishments with the helmet and feathers are NOT
a part of the crest or coat of arms. I think those are typically referred to as supporters and I will include those
if you request an intarsia pattern.

Also, you can purchase a Heraldic Coat of Arms pattern very cheaply here

https://www.scrollsaw.com/products/heraldic-family-plate-intarsia-pattern

If the link gives too many results, just go to www.scrollsaw.com and look through the intarsia patterns section.

This is nice!  I will show the co-worker both of these and see what she thinks.  It makes my head hurt just looking at it!  I'm thinking... cut out the black and have a backer with painted sections maybe?  Hmmmmm

I would love to do it in intarsia,, but I would also love to know how to do intarsia!  I haven't tried it yet.  Funny coincidence though,, My wife and I are meeting some friends from Kentucky in Savannah, GA in a couple of weeks for my 50th birthday.   I think I have my wife talked into going up a bit early and head into Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Sevierille and stop in at JGR's shop.  Been all over that area many times and have never stopped at her place.

I appreciate your offer, but don't waste your time..... for now.
