Hrmmmm...I thought a fretsaw refers to the handheld saw, so I'm going to say a Scroll Saw. Made by Barnes company in the early 1900's. I think they were based out of Illinois. Now they invented the perfect scroll saw in my opinion. This scroll saw includes a swing down drill! Now that's just waaaaay too cool. Why don't modern saws have that? :confused:

The boring attachment can be furnished at any time, if not desired when ordering the machine.

 

date of the machine was 1885 cost new was 23 bucks with the boring attachment 20 bucks without
