Old Dust Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 Our dining room has an oriental motif. My wife wanted a shelf for her tea set collection. It was decided to make it out of bamboo. Day 1, make brackets for shelf. Day 2, go to Home Depot for bamboo. ( 10 6" sticks for $2.97 a package. Need 3 packages.) Install brackets. Day 3, cut bamboo to length (shelf is 8ft.) of 4 ft to join in middle bracket. Apply liquid nails to brackets, set bamboo, cover with wax paper and clamp. Wait another day for glue to set. WALLA! Not some scroll saw work on far wall and on kitchen cabinet door. John Old Dust. Quote

Oges Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Nice work, looks like it should be stable enough for the tea sets. Quote
