Bragging Rights This is a Steve Good pattern. I added the text. I did get a headache cutting this. Some cross eye too. John Old Dust

If you are close enough to a sawmill you can get a carload of free "first cut" slabs that re great as backing for scrollers. When a sawmill gets a log they cut 4 sides to square up the log before cutting into studs. They are "scrap" for them. Just ask. John Old Dust

This was started by another scroller. He had about 50% assembled and 70% cut. However he passed away and I was asked to finish it, which I did. It comes apart in 4 sections for transport. John Old Dust chimes.tif

I have over 2 dozen compound cutting patterns that I use to raise funds. I use 2x2 (actually 1 1/2 X 1 1/2") SELECT PINE from Home Depot . My best blade is a Flying Dutchman #5 R. John Old Dust BTW I use the scraps. I cut them as flat as I can and give them to a Pre School facility for the kids to color. I just received my order for 1//8" 8 1/2" X 11" Baltic Burch from WoodEverStore.etsy.com and was very pleasantly surprised. I received 45 sheets and only 3 were not 100% clear one side. Price was only $49.95 with free shipping.. Look into this. John Old Dust.

This is a pattern from Steve Good. I added the red felt and used a pencil torch to seal the felt. John Old Dust

This s a Steve Good pattern. I cut it from scrap wood flooring panel. You often can get surplus wood flooring from a flooring store for next to nothing. They are also good for desk names. John Old Dust

Where are you in Arizona? I live year round in Coolidge AZ. John Old Dust

After further study of the pattern I found 10 additional faces. Using the criteria of having at least 3 of 4 face features, eye, nose mouth chin, for a total of 20. In addition I found 2 coyote heads on the bottom of the ground right bellow the tree trunk. John Old Dust

I count 10 faces. Anything else? John Old Dust

There are 7 different layers on this project. I also did my usual pencil torch scorching. John Old Dust
