  1. Very sad news. My condolences to the family.
  2. Thank you all for the kind comments. Should of mentioned that the one top left is Helmut's design. Bottom left and the large one on the right is Sue Mey and there is a Steve Goode design in there as well.
  3. Hi All, Just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas. Each year I light up a pattern by Helmut Hurtig in his memory and I am slowly adding more.
  4. Very neat.
  5. That would be great Gus.
  6. Looks fantastic.
  7. Looks great Gary.
  8. Looks great Kevin. Where did you get the pattern?
  9. Thank you Dick and all that have commented and clicked like
  10. Cheers Les, I totally agree. Kris did a fantastic job with this pattern. Thanks Marg, With all my birch ply cuts I very rarely framed the work. Now I am cutting with fantastic wood like cedar it makes me want to finish the project. Regards, Paul
  11. @Kris Martinson. Big thanks to forum member Kris for sending me this fantastic pattern of the great John Wayne. I have used Cedar for the pattern and Yew for the frame. Cedar is a fantastic wood to cut and smells great. This was cut with a Hegner and Olson 2/0r blade. I just need to add a few coats of Danish oil and John will be ready for the wall. Regards, Paul.
  12. It looks like the bear wrote it and for me it is perfect. If it was done neatly or engraved it would have spoilt the whole piece. A beautiful piece of work Dick.
  13. Hi namunolie, I was very happy how that turned out. Thanks to all for the kind comments. I made this follow up video on packing it away after the Christmas holidays.
  14. Thanks Marg. This is the largest pattern I have cut to date and it sure takes time. When I see the projects people do with hundreds of cuts I take my hat off to them. This pattern is 18 inches long, I had to chock up the back of the saw to make it more comfortable to turn the pattern. I suppose you could use a spiral blade but I do not get on with them.
  15. You are welcome Denny. Regards, Paul.
