cjswoodcrafts Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 we have been hit pretty hard the last couple days, from Alabama Tennessee, Georgia, the photo is in our front yard a huge branch from the tree either snapped with the wind, or got struck by lightning. another 5 feet or so, it would have hit the house, its touching the porch now, now for the fun part.. cutting it up Jim Quote
Travis Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 That happened to us last year. Very windy and an ice storm. Knocked a tree down and missed our car by inches (literally). Had to chop it up in the middle of the storm because it blocked the driveway, sidewalk, and part of the street. My neighborhood looked like a war zone. Quote

I spend most of my time doing admin stuff. The oak will be nice to keep on hand for a project. Turn it into a table or something. It would be a great conversation piece. The oak that almost destroyed your home now decorates it. Quote
