Dragonkort Posted October 10, 2020 Report Posted October 10, 2020 ok iv mentioned before that i want to make a vertial aquram and put of course turtles and fish in it.... iv been stoped so far trying to figure out how to make the aquirem part....i have an idea now but dont know how good of an idea it is.... we drink a lot of soda and some of the bottles are kind of clear.... but i dont know if you would really be able to see the inside of the aquirem think i'll have to make it first to find out. anyway what i was thinking of doing was cutting both ends off the 2 liter bottle and then cutting a slit along one side... to open it up....i think id proubly have to cut away some of the excess plastic from the top in able to open it up enough to look more like an aquirem.... but then i have the problem of figureing out how to make the ends of the aquirem ... the plastic of the bottle is quite thin and iv played around with the idea of measureing the opening on the side and then using some piece of wood and trying to carve out a grove on each piece to slide the ends of the bottle in. i could i think then cut out from another clear 2 liter bottle some plastic for the ends and place them in a second grove on the wood thats holding the sides of the bottle opened....so the wood would have to be rather thick ..... then i'll have to find some screening to make a top....where i could hang fish and turtles with clear fishing line....and i dont know but maybe print out some kind of thing forthe back to make it look like theres water in it? normaly when i have an idea like this my friend ritia works up the pattern for me....but since she not here i have to try to figure out how to make it myself...im hoping spike will understand what i want to do and be able to help me with the measureing and making of the plan....its more like a construction project and hes good at that .... any ideas tips hints or suggestions would be greatly appreachetd!!! Dragonkort Posted October 11, 2020 Author Report Posted October 11, 2020 lol i wouldnt be surprised lol most people including spike get nervious when they try to watch me do anything!! im a retired restrant cook and EVERY body i know gets nervious if there in the kitchen when im cooking lol they all however run to the kitchen when im done lol same in the woodshop.....evedently i dont always us the right tool for the right job and i often dont use the tool correctly... yet i still seem to get things done and i still have all my digets lol right now im taking a break from the cnc stuff....im hoping to get an answer to my question on carbin create from there sight....if not spike said hed call the support number again tomarrow and hopefuly someoe will answer our call before he decides hes not going to sit all day waiting for them to get around to him....sometimes i wish i could do these things myself...it would proubly be faster but since i cant i learn to waite Quote
