Play card holder

My daughter is looking to have me make some playing card holders for her hubby.  Apparently he collects them when he travels.  She likes the business card holder from Steve Good (http://www.stevedgood.com/2018cardholder.pdf) but it is not the right size. The one deck of cards I have is 2 5/8" wide by 3/4" thick  I know absolutely nothing about resizing or pattern making.  Can someone help please?

Barb, we will need the length of the deck of cards to make the pattern the right size.

I am just going to make  a shelf.  This was becoming way to complicated.  Thanks for looking.
