I have owned this for about 6 months. I use it daily. I am always fiddling with the conveyor belt tracking. Now the left side is tight and the right side is super loose. I can tighten the left a bunch and it still wants to track to the left. Do you think the belt is bad and do you think I need to replace it already? I would appreciate any tips.

Same issue on any of the feed belt machines.  Spend some time just running the feed belt and making minor (like 1/4 turn or less) adjustments until you get it tracking about right, then check it every 15 minutes or so when in use.  A high side on a board can start  the feed belt moving due to the increased pressure, as can feeding everything toward one edge or the other.

I don't know anything about these, but I'd be interested to hear what you find out.

That said I have a 4 x 36 belt sander that when the belt gets worn ( I guess? ) I have the same issue.. After several months / year? or so I run out of adjustment.. Put new belt on and it tracks good for however long it is before worn again.. I am guessing this might be the issue for you.. But I don't know that and hate to see you change it out etc and end up with the same result.

Dave, relax the right side. I am guessing that it is an open end drum sander, if so I have had one for about 10 years now and once I had the belt tracking approximately correct, I only ever adjust it on one side, either tightening or loosening. This prevents over tightening, stretching and possibly breaking the conveyor belt.
I almost always have to make a minor adjustment one way or the other when ever I use it and that is generally for 1/2 hour or more at a time. As Terry said, " A high edge, or feeding on one side" can make the conveyor track one way or another.

The right side is totally relaxed and almost puckers up. I think I have been running the belt too tight. I totally loosened it up and tightened it just enough so it doesn't slip under load. The left side is all that I have tightened. I've used it a bit and it is tracking right now.  I'll have to use it more to see how it is really working. Thanks to everyone for the comments.
