savethebeer Posted February 24, 2021 Report Posted February 24, 2021 Many years ago I built a deck outside my house before I discovered scrolling. Now its rotten in places because for the past several years I have successfully argued with myself that I need to cut more pressies on the saw rather than go outside and paint the deck and now I reaping the rewards. So my plan is to spend this summer tearing it apart, rearrange the garden , and build a new deck. So to make up for the lost time this summer I'm preparing for next Christmas by doing lots of Alex Fox layered designs, stack cut in 2, 3, or 4 layers, in 3mm BBP with Pegas #3 reverse skip. Yesterday I finished cutting his Christmas calender in a stack of 2, and all his designs are really pleasant to cut. So now I have 8 designs cut, making about 45 pressies, involving hundreds of pieces. Each calender consists of about 80 pieces. However I now have to put all these pieces together, including staining several of his designs. I've realised I do not have enough table space in the dining room to have all the pieces drying at the same time. Its a good job I'm on my own and we cant have visitors at the moment otherwise there would be grief coming at me. I'm even going to have to stop next doors cat coming in until this is done.
